Sandblasting process is dry sandblasting abrasive can be steel sand, aluminum oxide, quartz sand, silicon carbide, but the most domestic application is quartz sand, according to the parts of the material, surface state and processing requirements, can choose the abrasive of different substances.

1. Dry sandblasting process

Dry sandblasting has mechanical sandblasting and air pressure sandblasting two kinds, each of which is divided into manual, non-automatic or continuous automatic multiple ways, the domestic widely used is manual air pressure sandblasting machine, it also USES a variety of complex shapes of small and medium parts.

2. Wet sandblasting process

Wet sandblasting abrasive used the same as the dry sand blasting abrasive abrasive mixed with water into mortar can be generally accounted for 20%, 35%, and constantly stir in case of heavy pressure of the compressed air into the spray nozzle to the parts, can also be sand and water, respectively, into the jar, mixes in front of the flow to the nozzle spray on to the parts, to prevent rust steel parts, must add sodium nitrite in the water such as corrosion inhibitor, on the other hand, the sand next time should be dry before using. The equipment of wet process sandblasting machine also has many kinds of form, the commonest also is sandblasting chamber.

3. Shot peening process

(I) overview

Shot peening is similar to sandblasting except that steel or glass pellets are used instead of abrasive for sandblasting. This process is mainly used for:

(1) increase the fatigue strength and resistance to stress corrosion by generating compressive stress on the parts.

(2) nucleate the twisted thin-wall parts.

(3) instead of the general cold and hot forming process, the forming of large thin-wall aluminum parts, so as to avoid the residual high tensile stress on the surface of parts, and the formation of favorable compressive stress.

It should be noted that the use temperature of parts after shot peening should not be too high, otherwise, the resulting compressive stress will be eliminated and lose the desired effect. The limit of service temperature depends on the material of the part. For steel parts, it is about 260~290℃. For aluminum parts, it is about 170℃

(iii) shot peening and sandblasting technology

For the shot peening process that requires the surface of parts to produce compressive stress, there must be enough coverage, which is more difficult.

And it is difficult to make quantitative judgment, so often take the control shot peening strength method, that is, to achieve a certain sandblasting degree method, that is, to achieve a certain sandblasting strength, to get the required pressure value, shot peening strength is mostly in the United States SAE standard j442 described.

As a OEM supplier,Nice Rapidisexperienced in Sand-blasting with a customer satisfaction rate of 96.6%.Weprovide 3D printing technology, as well as CNC Machining, Vacuum Casting. usually we will make the products according to the 3D models that provided by our customer. We are able to make both plastic and metal products, such as aluminum, steel, brass etc… And most of plastics are available, such as ABS, PP, PC, PMMA…

Besides, we provide some surface finish, like anodization, plating, sandblasted, painting, silk screen and so on.
