UV paint is UV curing paint, also known as light-initiated paint in rapid prototyping.  It sprays a layer of transparent oil on the surface of the sample and bakes it with ultraviolet light.  It looks there is a layer of transparent film on surface after the products are protected by UV. The surface of product looks more gloss and bright colors.  Then, what advantages of UV surface finish? 

1. It can increase product surface hardness. The highest hardness can reach 5 ～6H. The hardness of plastic is the resistance of plastic materials to embossing and scratches.

2. Fast curing speed and high production efficiency. Through UV curing, it can be cured in 30 minutes. 

3. The coating has excellent performance. The coating has very high-performance indicators in all aspects such as hardness, abrasion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, salt spray resistance, gasoline resistance, etc.  Especially the paint film is full, and the gloss is particularly outstanding.

4. The UV-curing light curing process is pollution-free when spraying paint and is recognized as a green product.

Of course, nothing can be perfect, and there are some disadvantages to this process, such as:

UV coatings are sensitive to dust and have high requirements for the operating environment. Not resistant to the sun, they are easy to crack under the sunlight. Also, the product will turn yellow when it is stored for a long time. When the appearance of the product requires pure white, UV coating is generally not used. Finally, the price is relatively expensive, and the pre-coating requirements are very high.
