What Are the Operating Precautions for CNC Machining?
By Nice Rapid | Jun 12 , 2020

CNC machining refers to the process of processing parts on a CNC machine tool. A CNC machine tool is a computer-controlled machine tool. The computer used to control the machine tool, whether it is a dedicated computer or a general-purpose computer, is collectively called a CNC system.

The CNC system sends out stop or information to the servo device and other functional components to control various movements of the machine tool according to the program instructions. So, what aspects should we pay attention to when operating CNC machining?

First, after the machining center is powered on, it is necessary to check whether the button of the switch and the indicator light are normal. When the machining process of the part ends, the machine tool will automatically stop.

Second, before the formal processing, the coordinates of the machining center should be returned to zero, and the machine can be formally operated after idling for more than 15 seconds.

Third, during installation, it is necessary to ensure that the formation of the processed workpiece is within the range of the spindle. When the size of some products exceeds the maximum stroke of the CNC machine, we can choose to disassemble the workpiece at this time.

Fourth, when installing the tool, make sure that the workpiece is installed tightly, but also pay attention not to be too tight and cause positioning accuracy to be lost.

Fifth, the flatness of the contact surface between the workpiece and the CNC machining center should be above 0.02mm, and the surface finish should be above Ra1.6

Sixth, when the spindle is not positioned, it is not allowed to install or remove tools, so as not to damage the spindle or affect the accuracy.

Finally, the operator should clean up the machining center every day before leaving get off work, wipe the body with lubricating oil, and keep the external ground clean and tidy.

CNC machining is an effective way to solve the problems of zero-year variety, small batch size, complex shape, high precision and automated processing.
